Mysticism in healing

It is nice and natural to have some mystique in energy healing.

It has added to the flavour and experiences for many humans over the long centuries that we have benefitted from these great crafts.

Much of the mystique has been due to initiate knowledge, and we look at modern doctors in the same way.

To demystify the craft takes nothing away from the profound connective healing capacity that exists.

Mystique exists as the knowledge of these healing skills were rigidly held by monks and priests in ancient times and was only shared to initiates - rightly so because they were intertwined with cosmic and magical practices that could unleash tremendous powers and transformational energies. Access to these divine understandings was generally gained thru deep study of universal natural Law of one kind or another. To this day we still pay handsomely to be healed, often by many much poorly trained than their ancestors.

One purpose of many ancient physicians was to prevent illness, and in fact they were not paid if the emperor or courtiers fell ill.

The body is a self healing mechanism in health, great healers steer us back to a place where the body can again take over in its natural rhythms.

Practices such as Yoga, meditation, contemplation, proper martial arts and Tai Chi aid us in these quests.

If you don't have the application for these disciplines, doing simple energy shifting exercises can be very useful.

Try this one - stand upright with your shoulders squared, breath deeply into your abdomen for a minute or two. Then allow your top half to flop forward at the waist gently, then shake your hands vigorously in the flop position .... return to the first position and maintain deep abdominal breathing.

This exercise helps clear the fire channels that hold a lot of anxiety within them - heart, pericardium, triple burner and small intestine, and also the metal/spirit channel Lung/Large intestine.
