Trauma

Trauma is disturbing by nature and not to be minimised for some individuals. It can and does range from devastating to intermittent wave response trauma like anxiety.

All are rooted in our nervous systems harmonics. We have three major nervous systems and you might be surprised to realise that one of them resides in the face and head.

In modern life very many people have become aware of what trauma represents for them and have the appropriate language to express their feelings.

Life is a very demanding program yet we cling to the entitlement of ease which invariably leads us towards conflicts internally and externally.

One of the most interesting sayings of the last five years and one that I must admit I hear men more than women utter is “ it is what it is “ which is a very powerful phrase for decoding the psychological aspects of trauma.

It has an instant acceptance of the micro-reality instead of a resistance posture.

Sometimes in therapeutic situations I say to my clients what’s required here is for you to become a temporary Buddhist and practice radical acceptance for the same non resisting purpose.

Because it’s the resistance that matters in terms of how we hold to the experience. In this holding we can become a bit warped energetically.

It’s not like disease formation energetically which often involves bio-electrical stagnation, it’s much more often that the spirit of the person has tried to leave their body and got caught in various degrees of mis-alignment.

Being placed properly in the body is as important for nervous system regulation as anything that I can attest to.

The healing practices of the Aboriginal Ngangkari in central Australia have deepened my appreciation for this craft and its significance to humanity.

In my clinical experience moving through some significant ‘energy balances’ on and off the body encourages the spirit of the person subconsciously to come back into their body and find some natural alignment, harmony and peace.

It as you can imagine this feels very different to where they have been for often decades since childhood trauma was experienced.

They feel calmer in their minds, sleep better and can handle the environmental stresses better.

There are many other techniques to aid this process, Vagal nerve harmonisation, and spinal nerve flow harmonisation ( Ki6-BL62 ) via the energetic ‘ankle gate’ etc.

The essence is the same, that the nervous systems are returned in the direction of harmony.
