Why Holistic Medicine?

Holistic care is just smart.

There is one highly observed phenomenon that occurs with Energy Therapy.

No doubt it occurs with all healing modalities that are devoted to working with the body specifically in a holistic manner as holism treats the ‘parts’ as part of a whole.

The word wholesome is derived from this concept.

The phenomenon that occurs within these wholesome approaches is that as we work with a singular aspect of the body or person, much more is affected within the whole network itself.

I have seen this over and over again in my own experience in clinical practice.

Predominantly when working on one aspect that others resolve.

There are so many embryonic development points ( acupuncture points) that affect multiple things and levels simultaneously.

Balancing these points with hand applied resonance techniques can help many levels of the body and the person.

This is just the physical part under consideration, what about the mind, emotions or spirit of the person, and the soul aspects.

When toxicity is present in the body, is there a contributing cause in another part of that persons life - is their workplace toxic, relationships , marriage, environment - is their thinking contributing, their beliefs, biases or opinions.

Someone may have heart palpitations for instance and in this regard I like to balance the relationship between the heart and kidneys.

But are they fearful for survival on some level, has

The rent gone up or another mindless increase in medical funds or energy pushing them into unhealthy thought patterns.

When these collective issues are considered within the session , Ideally this works out well and the symptoms subside, often with other notable benefits such as better sleep, less anxiety, less brain fog etc.

Because the Kidneys, Heart, root of the Tongue and Brain have their own neurological axis, mechanisms and intertwined functions things get shared when new energy is available.

We have very many of these chain like axis relationships within our bodies that contribute greatly to our capacity for maintaining our holistic functions - this is essential for such complex creatures as humans to function at the speed and efficiency that we do.

The Belt Channel in acupuncture is a great example of the horizontal linking between the digestive organs beneath the diaphragm.

The diminishing of Chi energy in aging breaks our capacity to function at such fast and powerful levels. Chi energy is essential for vitality.

Energy Therapy and other great health modalities help re-establish Chi relationships and flow so the damage of aging and environmental impacts are minimalists.

It’s a holistic approach to health and wellness that is very smart. The origins of many of these profound sciences are in the East where cultures have evolved with deeper holistic connective roots.

In the West the leaning has been more towards the individual, and individualistic tendencies ( including the ego based quest for individual recognition in medical science) which in turn has been reflected in medical practice with the emergence of’ The Specialist’.

Deference from general medical overview at GP level to a Specialist of singular focus on one aspect of the body, such as gastrointestinal specialist or cardiovascular specialist for instance.

This is a laziness that brings many problems. In my own experience I had a regular appointment with a gastroenterologist specialist for colonoscopies due to my father dying of bowel cancer at a young age.

In 2019 this specialist was discussing dietary options with me and disclosed “ that it was only in the last five years that we have been considering the effects of diet on gastrointestinal health “.

To say that I was stunned was an understatement. This was anti-holism in modern medicine and ignorance.

It was also a demonstration of abstract medical stupidity in my humble opinion, even my grandmother in the 1960’s understood this link.

These common sense ways of looking at the world were common in the past - common knowledge was highly useful.

Adding common sense to solving problems or adding perspectives still seems like a good bet.

Things are connected, and if you approach a human ( body, mind and spirit) system correctly, you can get the enhanced benefits of correct interaction and the multiplication effect through the associated and connected networks.

These are some of the benefits that you derive from choosing a practitioner that approaches your wellbeing in a holistic manner.

Why wouldn’t you ?
